Company Delta, 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, Soldiers search a corn field in the village of Hegnah, Iraq, during Operation Summit Pursuit, July 27 - August 5, 2008. The company nicknamed, Destroyer, moved approximately 30 miles southwest from their normal area of operations, Kirkuk city, to join forces with the 1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment's efforts to flush out and destroy the remnants of al-Qaida in the northern regions of the districts; Hawijah and Sharqat, and to garner Iraq- Commander's Emergency Relief Program funds for schools, medical clinics and the like in villages once populated and terrorized by AQI.
