JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Feb. 23, 2004)--Petty Officer 3rd Class Jeremy Graybill, stationed at Coast Guard Station Mayport operates the 47-foot motor life boat while a Coast Guard Marine Safety Office Jacksonville security team enforce the 100-yd security zone around the Carnival cruise ship, Miracle Feb. 23, 2004 during the security detail around the new Carnival Cruise ship Miracle that arrived in Jacksonville Feb. 23, 2004. The Miracle is the second of four cruise ships that will permanently. The Miracle is 963 feet long can carry 2124 passengers, 930 crewmembers and belongs to the Spirit class cruise ships. The Marine Safety Office here will conduct a three day control verification exam checking life saving equipment, fire fighting capabilities, crew drills, safety management and engineering exams on board the cruise ship.
