LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Feb 6, 2003)--The Coast Guard Cutter Alert conducts helicopter training at sea with a helicopter and crew from Coast Guard Air Station, Los Angeles. The training included day and night landings, vertical replenishment, and a "hot refuel". The Alert's LSO (in yellow) uses the light signals at night to assist the pilots in seeing the hand signals.
