Cmdr. Kevin Bach, assigned to the Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Mercy, consults a patient at Port Moresby General Hospital before referring her to Mercy for surgery. The Pacific Partnership team will conduct various surgeries aboard Mercy to include plastic, orthopedic, and obstetrics-gynecology. Pacific Partnership assists the government of Papua New Guinea in providing local communities with medical, dental and engineering civic action programs focused on humanitarian assistance.
