U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Merle Hart, North Atlantic Treaty Organization Headquarters Sarajevo commander, speaks with 200 school-aged children during the Police Cinema event in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dec. 2, 2013. This NATO-supported program educates the youth on the benefits of NATO and the importance of breaking down social barriers. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Central Bosnia Canton created the program to educate all children regardless of their social status. This project will enable more than 2,800 elementary school students (grades 1-9) in Central Bosnia to learn about police work, how to behave in traffic, nonviolence education, juvenile delinquency and drug-free environment education.
