Lt. Gen. John Wissler (right), the commander of Joint Task Force 505 and commanding general of III Marine Expeditionary Force, speaks with sailors on the bridge of the USS Germantown during a visit here, Nov. 28. Wissler, along with Ambassador Philip S. Goldberg, visited the Marines and sailors with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and the crew of the ship to thank them for their assistance during Operation Damayan. “What the Navy and Marine Corps team has done here is help bring peace of mind with your presence in the area.
