Gunnery Sgt. Duane King, Drum Major for the Marine Corps Band New Orleans, leads the Marine Corps Band New Orleans during the Bayou Classic Thanksgiving Day Parade in New Orleans, La., Nov. 28, 2013. The Bayou Classic showcased numerous floats and marching bands including the Human Jukebox of Southern University, the Grambling State University World Famous Marching Tigers and the Marine Corps Band New Orleans. All of the Marines who attended the celebration are in New Orleans to take part in the Bayou Classic. For 39 years, the Bayou Classic has showcased the long-standing intrastate rivalry between the Southern University Jaguars and the Grambling State University Tigers. The United States Marine Corps has been a partner of the Bayou Classic for 13 consecutive years in celebration of the hard work, courage, and commitment to excellence exhibited by its many participants.
