A C-17 Globemaster III taxies down the runway on July 19 at a base in Southwest Asia. The 386th Expeditionary Operation Support Squadron works with host nation air traffic controllers to safely ensure more than 2,000 takeoffs and landings per month are handled without incident. The C-17 is deployed from the 62nd Airlift Wing, McCord Air Force Base, Wash.
