A group of Soldiers with Co. C, 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, use their knowledge of combat first aid to transport a casualty to safety during a training exercise on Fort Hood on July 21. This and many exercises like it are part of a two-week simulation of the brigade's upcoming deployment to Iraq. Company C, 215th Brigade Support Battalion, the brigade's medic company, is responsible for ensuring that this event remains accurate.
