Spc. Zachary Dixon, 136th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, Texas Army National Guard, rings a bell at Camp Alamo in Kabul, Afghanistan, in a ceremony remembering those fallen at the siege of the Alamo. The bell was donated to the camp by a group of New York City police officers on the tenth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. The post the bell is mounted on is rumored to have been amongst the wreckage of the attacks. The bell was recently donated to the Alamo in San Antonio, after Camp Alamo was transferred to the Afghan National Army. (Photo courtesy of Canadian Army Master Cpl. James Nightingale)
