Vincent Speranza, a former infantryman machine gunner with the 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment during World War II, enjoys a day with Paratroopers from the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division Oct. 7, 2013 at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. Speranza was a special guest as he climbed aboard an Alaska National Guard UH-60 Black Hawk Utility Helicopter to watch the Paratroopers jump off and descend to the frozen ground at JBER’s Malemute Drop Zone.
