Staff Sgt. Edwin Mu–oz explains the display boards for an AH-64 Apache helicopter to his sons, Gabriel and Charlie at an aerial gunnery range, Nov. 2. Mu–oz and other members of the 1st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, hosted a battalion family day at the aerial gunnery range. After showing their children and spouses the Apache on the ground, the troopers conducted a live demonstration of the Apache firing rockets and 30 mm rounds. The pilots qualify on their weapon systems annually, and the battalion took the opportunity to show their loved ones the capabilities of an attack helicopter.
