Two A1-H Super Cobra helicopters from Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 163, attached to the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable), fly adjacent to one another after executing an aerial live-fire range during Exercise Bright Star, Sept 24. The exercise is designed to enhance the interoperability and cohesiveness of coalition forces through various training scenarios, to include amphibious and combined-arms operations. The six-week exercise affords U.S. service members the opportunity to build awareness and relationships with the host nation of Egypt and fellow coalition forces. The 13th MEU is currently on a Western Pacific deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism. Official Marine Corps Photo by Cpl Chad H. Leddy (released)
