Staff Sgt. Bryan Roberts, a native of Stow, Ohio, and a squad leader within Company C, 2-3 Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team “Spartans”, 3rd Infantry Division, carries the sword of the noncommissioned officer to command group leading the Brigade in a change of responsibility ceremony here at the Marne Garden, Oct. 25. The sword will soon be passed around from Command Sgt. Maj. Jefferson Moser, a native of Dearborn, Mich., and the outgoing senior enlisted leader for the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, to Command Sgt. Maj. Stanley Varner, the incoming senior enlisted leader for the 2nd ABCT, which symbolizes the transfer of the responsibility from Moser to Varner. Roberts had the honor of bearing the sword because he just recently won the 3rd ID NCO of the Quarter Board. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Richard Wrigley, 2nd ABCT, 3rd ID, Public Affairs NCO)
