Cpl. Emmanuel Martir, from Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, assigned to the Air Combat Element of the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), reads a book for his daughter during a United Through Reading session aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4). The program, organized by the chaplain's office, allows sailors and Marines to stay connected to their loved ones back home through a recorded book reading. Boxer is the flagship for the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 13th MEU, is deployed in support of maritime and security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
