An amphibious assault vehicle with 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, waits at Onslow Beach aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune before conducting amphibious operations during a battalion-level field exercise Oct. 18, 2013. “The amphibious operations we provide are a huge asset to the Marine Corps because we are who keeps the Marine Corps amphibious,” said Capt. Bret Presley, the Bravo Company commander, and Odessa, Texas native. “Without us, Marines would have to rely on other agencies in order to conduct a beach landing.”
