Petty Officer 1st Class Rogel Pepa takes an x-ray of a Filipino patient in the medical department aboard amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu. Pepa is one of many military and civilian healthcare providers who specially augmented Peleliu for Pacific Partnership 2007. Pacific Partnership is a four-month deployment to Asia and Oceania to help increase health and stability in the Republic of the Philippines and other regional partner nations. Together with the coordination of government of the Philippines, Peleliu will work on specialized medical, dental, and engineering projects as part of Pacific Partnership.
