26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable)     

U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Todd M. Parisi, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) sergeant major, greets Sgt. Maj. Bonnie Skinner, Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) Senior Enlisted Leader, aboard the USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), Sept. 19, 2013. CJTF-HOA senior leaders met with the command and staff of the 26th MEU to discuss the capabilities of the Amphibious Ready Group. The 26th MEU is a Marine Air-Ground Task Force forward-deployed to the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility aboard the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group serving as a sea-based, expeditionary crisis response force capable of conducting amphibious operations across the full range of military operations.
