U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Merle Hart, NATO Headquarters Sarajevo commander, visits the Softic family estate in Gojakovici, BiH, Sept. 23, 2013. Procurement of three, three month old male calves through the NATO Perspektiva Programme enabled beneficiary Irdin Softic, former soldier of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to further expand his cattle breeding and fattening business without requiring infrastructure investments. The program aims to assist discharged military personnel to reintegrate into productive civilian life through grants. Several donor countries, BiH Ministry of Defence, NATO and International Oorganization for Migration in Sarajevo have integrated their efforts to gather and channel resources in order to provide this assistance.
