U.S. Navy doctors listen to a nutrition brief from their Philippine Navy counterparts Sept. 24 during a community health engagement at Bigaa Elementary School, Legazpi City, Albay, Republic of the Philippines part of Amphibious Landing Exercise 2014. Medical personnel from the Philippine and U.S. Navies and the Provincial Health Organization exchanged best practices prior to treating more than 900 people over a two-day period. The cooperative health engagement is one of several humanitarian activities occurring during Amphibious Landing Exercise 2014. PHIBLEX 14 is designed to improve interoperability, increase readiness, and enhance the ability for a bilateral force to respond to natural disasters or other regional contingencies.
