U.S. Army Spc. Landon Roberts takes up a defensive aiming position at Nangalam base, Sept. 10. The Nashville, Tenn., native, serves as a sniper, 3rd Squadron, 89th Cavalry Regiment. Roberts joined the Army about three years ago and this is her first deployment as a sniper. Third Squadron is at Nangalam to support their Afghan counterparts in securing a specific route to the Chapa Dara District center.
