South Carolina Army National Guard, 742nd Support Maintenance Company (SMC) enjoys a cookout with the Colombian army maintenance personnel during a welcoming ceremony Sept. 4, 2013, on Baman maintenance base, Baman, Colombia. The 742nd SMC brought an S.C. tradition to Colombia to help the bond between the two cultures, the game of cornhole. The 742nd SMC traveled to Colombia as part of the State Partnership program between S.C. and Colombia to share technical experience and improve maintenance techniques. After the welcoming ceremony, the two units worked side-by-side for several weeks rebuilding and refurbishing HUMVEEs, night vision goggles and weapons.
