Isn't a dog's life grand? "Steve" the dog was almost put to sleep two years ago when U.K. Soldiers found him. They kept him, as he was able to hear incoming mortars and small arms, alerting them by hiding under a desk. Steve now has a permanent home on the Combat Operation Base with British Army Capt. Pamela Sheldon in Basra, Iraq, on July 10.
