U.S. Air Force Col. David “DJ” Johnson watches Sherry Hobbs and U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Richard Dabrowski cut the cake on the U.S. Air Force’s 66th birthday at the joint Defense Department and German Ministry of Defense George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies here Sept. 18. The event, attended by about 75 people at DOD, included remarks by Johnson and the singing of the Air Force song. Seventeen civilian employees at the center, including Hobbs, are former or retired airmen, with five active duty people, including Johnson, on staff. Hobbs, a graphic designer here, is the youngest airmen on the Marshall Center staff while Dabrowski, the deputy director of one of the center programs, is its oldest.
