McCracken, platoon sergeant, both assigned to Company C, 3rd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, direct runners where to go after completing their race Aug. 26, 2013, at the Cheyenne Mountain Stampede Cross-Country Race. Eighty-five soldiers from Company C volunteered at the race assisting host school, Cheyenne Mountain High School, with a multitude of tasks such as parking lot control, crowd control on the course, directing runners on the course, and helping pass out water at the finish line.
