    100th Air Refueling Wing

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Jacob Dietmeyer, 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department firefighter from Gurnee, Ill., performs a final safety check on his belay line before descending almost 120 feet from a water tower Sept. 4, during technical rope rescue training on RAF Mildenhall, England. Instructors from the 435th Construction and Training Squadron, Ramstein Air Base, Germany, spent time at the 100th CES Fire Department training firefighters on a variety of rescue techniques and scenarios including incident management training, mechanical advantage systems, and low and high angle rescue. This training is vital to keep first responders proficient in procedures, in the event a rescue requires such skills. (U.S. Air Force photo by Karen Abeyasekere/Released)
