Recon Marines conduct swift, silent rescue during training

Marines serving with Alpha Company, 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, stack next to a wall while taking simulated artillery rounds and small-arms fire during a mission rehearsal exercise here, Aug. 20, 2013. The Marines coordinated with their command element to locate and rescue a hostage inside the town. The company worked within a tight timeline as the scenario evolved depending on the Marines’ actions.
