A Marine serving with Alpha Company, 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, posts security outside a cleared compound during a mission rehearsal exercise here, Aug. 19, 2013. During the exercise, Marines performed a night raid on a military operation in urban terrain town and detained possible enemy combatant role-players. The MRX assessed the Marines’ ability to execute their mission and coordinate logistics with their command element as they prepare to deploy with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit next year.
