Aircraft Dedication Ceremony in honor of 2nd MAW Marine
If you were high in the sky on a recent Friday afternoon, peering down on Marine Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Squadron 2 here, you would have seen a crowd of people gathered for a very unusual occasion. They were the family and friends of a Marine who pioneered the very technology that provides an “eye in the sky” for Marines who need it on the ground.

2nd EOD Marines Inert ExplosivesDuring the morning of May 22, 2015, Marines gathered around a large table in a blast-proof, explosive ordnance disposal inerting building aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C. As a team, they placed an M255A1 Flechette rocket centered across from a small, black XR-150 X-ray source, preparing to take a deeper look inside the internal set-up of a potentially hazardous weapon.
