Specialized unit's top enlisted man ends tourThe top enlisted man in the Ohio National Guard’s Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and high-yield Explosive (CBRNE) Enhanced Response Force Package (CERFP) search and extraction team, ended his tour with the unit March 16, 2008. Sgt. 1st Class Theodore Blanford had held the position since the unit stood up nearly two years ago. The struggles within yourself - the invisible, inevitable battles inside all of us - that`s where it's at.” Two days before the track and field competition begins at the U.S. Army Trials at Fort Bliss, Texas, Army Spc. Luis Ahumada Jr., is grinding out every fiber of his being preparing for not only a spot on the Army team, but those inevitable battles that lie ahead.

The benefits of sprinting are manyCraig Netter explodes out of the starting blocks under the watchful eye of Army Warrior Games head track coach. His form is excellent, even though sprint events are new to him. Netter, a Texas National Guard Soldier currently assigned to the Warrior Transition Unit at Fort Hood, Texas, is here training with about 80 Soldiers who are wounded injured or ill, competing for a place on the Army team for the Department of Defense Warrior Games 2015, to be held at Quantico, Virginia in June.

Competition week at US Army Trials kicks off with cycling competitionAfter a week of training and instructions from coaches, team building and bonding, the athletes finally got down to the task at hand -- competing to demonstrate who will be selected to represent Team Army at the Department of Defense Warrior Games 2015.
