    Defense Media Activity - Marines

I'm Corporal Savannah Mosby with your Marine Minute.

Reconnaissance Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Force Reconnaissance Platoon conducted dive training and live fire training at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, May 13, 2019. This training allows Marines to practice their tactical skills on land and in the sea ensuring their abilities are ready for specialized raid missions during future deployments over seas. Sharpening skills in proficiency, accuracy, and stealth when targeting adversaries on land and in the sea.

    Also in the Corps,
Nothing screams summer like an annual Fuji Friendship Festival filled with food, drinks, and music at Combined Arms Training Center Camp Fuji, Japan, May 11, 2019. The local community, Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force, and U.S. service members mix and mingle, honoring the Japanese and Marine Corps tradition and culture differences. The festival had lots of activities such as bouncy houses for the children, military aircraft showcased for the public along with live Japanese performances with music, dancing, and dressing up.
