Mr Betts has served 27 years in the Army Reserve and National Guard and has extensive civilian experience in operations management. He managed distribution centers for Master Lock, Kmart, and Ashley Furniture. He is a graduate of the Public Affairs Officer Course, Military Police Officers Basic Course, Logistics Captains Career Course and Pennsylvania National Guard Officers Candidate School. Mr Betts has also been certified as the Contracting Officers Representative for the DVIDS Hub and DVIDS Equipment Contracts. Mr Betts He has run the DVIDS program for 10 years in his military capacity serving with US Army Central and has had extensive experience in public affairs plans and operations. He was the lead Public Affairs Plans and Operations Officer for Exercise Bright Star 2005 and traveled throughout all of US Central Commands Area of Responsibility to each DVIDS transmitter and Public Affairs units to help units fully utilize the DVIDS System. He has directed the program to success by having the “Full Cycle Digital Content Management System” DVIDS360 built from the ground up in PHP code for the Government. He is a graduate of the Geneva College, where he received a B.A. in human resources. Mr Betts is also a Major in the Army Reserves serving in Public Affairs. Mr Betts and the DVIDS Program reports to the Defense Media Activity at Fort Meade MD.
