Members of the 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force will conduct exercise Blue Chromite on and around Camp Schwab, Okinawa from Oct. 28 - Nov. 10. The purpose of the exercise is to increase amphibious proficiency across all levels of command within 4th Marine Regiment.
Blue Chromite is a U.S. only exercise that will see participation from two Marine Corps infantry Battalions, Marine Corps aircraft, Marine Corps and Navy amphibious vehicles and a Navy ship.
The exercise provides an ideal platform for participating units to rehearse the integration of arms and increase amphibious proficiency across all levels of command within 4th Marine Regiment. The exercise will also showcase how the Navy and Marine Corps amphibious team are equipped and organized to carry out objectives which require ship-to-shore movements.
