Package about the 3 day biathlon clinic held in Bend, Ore., was organized by Capt. Sean Nixon. Participants had 2 days of land training, followed by a sprint triathlon that was open to civilian athletes. The triathlon had two running legs followed by shooting on an indoor range after each run. The the athletes had to kayak 1000m up the Deschutes River, then paddle back down to the starting point. For each missed shot on the range, 30sec's are added to each overall time.
