Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Abel Sotobanda is a mathematics instructional support teacher at Fontana High School in Fontana, Calif. He came to this country at 13 knowing very little English, and deployed in Service of the United states prior to earning his U.S. citizenship. His exceptional gifts in math earned him full college tuition, and he has just finished his second masters degree. He chooses to use his talents to give back to high school students, while continuing to serve in the Army Reserve. Here's a glimpse into his daily life and the community he serves.
