Local military units partnered up with the National Basketball Association to complete community service projects, an effort to support local communities through combined service. Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen participated in local landscaping projects in cooperation and with the support of the NBA. These projects not only provide service members the opportunity to serve the local populace, but also foster a stronger relationship with surrounding communities.
