The 2/8 Cav. became the first U.S. unit to fire the M1A2 Abrams Tank in Poland. Interviews with Spc. Cory Troxell, tank gunner, 2nd Bat., 8th Cavalry Regt. and Staff Sgt. John Durst, tank commander, 2nd Bat., 8th Cav. Regt. These activities are part of the US Army Europe-led Operation Atlantic Resolve land force assurance training taking place across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland to enhance multinational interoperability, strengthen relationships among allied militaries, contribute to regional stability and demonstrate US commitment to NATO.
