The search and rescue unit aboard Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona, conducted a search and rescue mission to find 32 lost Boy Scouts on the Colorado River, Saturday evening. The SAR team utilized their skills to help the community and showed that everyone’s safety is of the utmost concern to SAR and MCAS Yuma. As an essential asset to MCAS Yuma, SAR’s primary mission is to provide search and rescue support during military flight operations within a 100 nautical mile radius of the air station, but it also supports the local community when help is needed.
