The Fort Hood Community gathered to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month. Cultural Dance groups along with the 1st Cavalry Division Band performed and words were shared by guest speaker Juan Rivera. Rivera is a retired paratrooper who served two tours in Vietnam, earning the U.S. Army Combat Infantryman's Badge and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with "V" Device for Valor with two oak leaf clusters.
