The 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division hosted a deployment ceremony on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska Friday, September 19, to formally say farewell to elements of the brigade deploying in support of ongoing peacekeeping operations in Kosovo.
A small contingent of paratroopers assigned to the headquarters element of the Spartan Brigade and several hundred paratroopers assigned to 1st Squadron (Airborne), 40th Cavalry Regiment will deploy later this month as part of the NATO-led Kosovo Force, specifically Multinational Battle Group-East.
