More than 170 19th Airlift Wing Airmen deployed out this week to support ongoing operations in Afghanistan.
More than 300 base Airmen are currently deployed around the globe supporting wartime and contingency operations. As part of global air mobility, Team Little Rock Combat Airlifters deliver the right effects, at the right place, at the right time. The base's deployed Airmen execute and sustain rapid global mobility by hauling passengers, cargo and supplies.
Ultimately, support from military agencies, family and friends enhance the ability for airman to complete the mission downrange.
"It took a large coordinated effort to prepare [our] Airmen and C-130Js to go out the door... But, our responsibility does not stop there," said Col. Patrick Rhatigan, 19th Airlift Wing commander. "We must support these deployed Airmen and make sure their families are taken care of here at home. No one does this better than the Airmen of Team Little Rock."
