Exercise Garuda Shield 2014 is underway. The U.S. Army joined forces with Indonesian Armed Forces for their 8th year of training and exercises. The FTX consists of academics with practical exercises in jungle operations and maneuvers in the jungle environment. 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division begins Garuda Shield 2014 with an FTX in the jungle alongside their TNI counterparts.
