It’s in the headlines. Reductions are happening throughout all the services whether we like it or not. This is inevitable, but the troops on Kunsan Air Base receive a visit from someone who offers a light at the end of the tunnel. Msgt James Munn, a recruiter with the Air Force National Guard explains.
Sb:
The main reason we do this, not just me, but any in service recruiter is because we do believe in continuing your service. Everyone who is separating or getting off of active duty, we can provide them information where they can further their career whether it’s just educational benefits or it’s continuing their service. It’s just to give them options once they end the active duty side.
Sb:
“you tried active duty, you tried the guard side, you’re good to go.”
Reporter:
Master Sergeant Munn has some parting words for those who are considering getting out of the military.
Sb:
We believe that just because you are coming off active duty does not mean you have to take off the uniform. We believe that everyone that is still wearing that uniform even today is serving, whether it’s one weekend a month or whether it’s active duty, you are serving this country in one way or another and we feel that we need to continue to do that.
