Folly Beach is getting a much-needed boost to help reduce damage to public infrastructure, homes and businesses caused by storm events. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Charleston District is managing a storm damage reduction project that is putting more than 1.5 million cubic yards of beach quality sand along five miles of Folly Beach.
