The Afghanistan Uniform Police Deputy of Administration and Police Chiefs, representing each district of Kabul, gathered at Camp Phoenix to present awards for the 226th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade departure and to welcome the incoming 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. The Police Assistance Team was also in attendance, supporting their local counterparts. Coalition partners took time for photo opportunities before and after the ceremony and continued conversations of future partnerships during a luncheon at the Camp Phoenix dining facility. The first female appointed police chief in Afghanistan, Jamila Bayaz, was also in attendance and assumed her role as District 1 Police Chief Jan. 15 and supports women in the police force.
