SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - The 185-foot cargo freighter Jireh remains grounded on Mona Island, Puerto Rico, surrounded by containment boom to protect the surrounding environmentally sensitive area. The Unified Command comprised of Coast Guard, Puerto Rico Department of Natural and Environmental Resources, Puerto Environmental Quality Board and other stakeholders continue response efforts to remove diesel fuel onboard and to salvage the vessel, June 24, 2012.
