  • JUNEAU, Alaska - A Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk rescue helicopter crew from Air Station Sitka and emergency medical personnel from Capital City Fire/Rescue from the city of Juneau stabilize Chrystal Phillips, a 23-year-old female, at the Juneau International Airport Dec. 12, 2010.

Phillips, who reportedly was in need of further medical care due to complications with pregnancy, was transported by the helicopter rescue crew to the awaiting emergency medical personnel who transferred her to Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau.

  • JUNEAU, Alaska - A Sitka based Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk rescue helicopter crew safely transfers a 58-year old man from Skagway to emergency medical services personnel in Juneau, Alaska after medevacing him from the Skagway clinic because he was reportedly unconscious Jan. 23, 2011. In Alaska, the Coast Guard is often relied on to transfer people from remote clinics to hospitals in bigger towns due to the often inclement weather which doesn't allow civilian medical flights to render assistance.   • JUNEAU, Alaska (Nov. 24, 2007) The Coast Guard and Juneau Police Department recovered a recreational vessel in the Gastineau Channel that had reportedly been stolen earlier today. 
The vessel Julie Mary was later spotted by the owners wife near the Juneau Yacht Club who immediately notified authorities. 
When the Coast Guard motor life boat from Station Juneau arrived on scene a man on board told them that the vessel belonged to him, but could not produce any paperwork demonstrating that. 
The Coast Guard boarding team took the man into custody and brought him to shore, where custody was transfered to the Juneau Police Department.
