Coast Guard Station Fort Pierce, Fla., crewmembers assisted National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration scientists by transporting 103 loggerhead sea turtles into the Atlantic Ocean Gulf Stream Monday, June 30, 2008. NOAA studied the turtles during routine annual research June 16-27, on the effectiveness of turtle excluder devices. (Coast Guard video by Petty Officer 3rd Class Barry Bena)
