SAN FRANCISCO (December 31,2005) On New Year's Eve, a rescue team from Air Station San Francisco was assisting local and federal agencies in northern California during torrential rains when they spotted a woman in her nearly-submerged car near Ukiah. Aviation Survival Technician Second Class Dennis Moyer rescued a woman after being lowered from the helicopter. Moyer had to fight swiftly moving waters to cut the woman from her seat belt while also holding her head above water.
