In 2003, a couple years after graduating from Baraga Area High School in Baraga Michigan...Sonny Lemerande joins the U.S. Navy to become a hospital corpsman. A six years later and with a 2006 deployment to Iraq under his belt, he headed to Afghanistan in 2009. It was during this second deployment to the middle east Sonny was injured while on patrol with the U.S. Army. Meet Sonny Lemerande as he tells us his story...
